Mr. Roman is a distinguished Mechanical Engineer and seasoned expert in renewable energy, currently serving as the Director of AC Solar Project Management at General Energy Corporation (GEC). His broad expertise spans solar energy, LED lighting, compressed air systems, process cooling, and industrial refrigeration. With credentials as a Master Electrician and a strong foundation in project management.
Ruben plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the entire lifecycle of Ground Mount and rooftop solar projects at GEC, from initial conceptualization to successful commissioning. Ruben excels at integrating engineering principles with practical construction execution, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality, code-compliant DC and AC solar systems.
His tenure at GEC includes successfully managing a diverse portfolio of industrial and commercial solar installations, ranging from 900 kW to over 10 MW. He is deeply involved in every critical phase, from meticulous site assessments and intricate electrical planning to strategic procurement, rigorous construction oversight, precise commissioning, and effective client communication.
A highlight of Ruben's career includes the successful delivery and activation of a 7 MW Fixed Ground Mount Solar System for a wastewater reclamation district in Illinois. Ruben earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
