General Energy Corporation has delivered engineering excellence since 1985. We design and build commercial solar and battery energy storage systems for America's largest facilities — warehouses, manufacturing plants, and industrial complexes.
What You'll Do
- Manage commercial solar and BESS projects from contract signing through commissioning
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, and installation teams to meet project milestones
- Serve as primary client contact throughout project lifecycle
- Track budgets, schedules, and change orders
- Navigate utility interconnection and permitting processes
- Ensure safety compliance and quality standards on all job sites
What You Bring
- 3+ years of project management experience in solar, construction, or energy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with solar EPC workflows and utility interconnection a plus
- PMP certification preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license and ability to visit job sites as needed

We design and build commercial solar and battery energy storage systems for America's largest facilities — warehouses, manufacturing plants, and industrial complexes. Our team combines four decades of MEP engineering heritage with deep solar expertise.
What You'll Do
- Support the design and engineering of commercial-scale solar PV and BESS projects
- Coordinate with project managers, installers, and utility providers throughout project lifecycle
- Conduct site assessments, load profiling, and system sizing calculations
- Prepare permit packages, interconnection applications, and construction documentation
- Ensure projects meet local, state, and federal code requirements
- Assist with commissioning and system performance verification
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 2+ years of experience in solar, energy, or related construction industry preferred
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and local permitting processes a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar design tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Illinois PE license or EIT certification preferred but not required
