A local Illinois High School partnered with GEC for a 274 kW rooftop system under a long-term PPA. The school pays only for the electricity generated at a below-market rate, while a third party owns, operates, and maintains the system. Beyond cost savings, the rooftop array serves as an ongoing educational resource connecting students directly to renewable energy.
