Building on the success of a sister facility installation, this plastics manufacturer selected GEC to develop a solar solution for its Illinois plant. The primary engineering challenge was designing a fully ballasted system on a gypsum deck roof where mechanical attachments were not permitted. Through multiple structural design iterations, GEC delivered a 771 kW system that meets performance requirements while preserving the integrity of the existing roof structure.
