GEC was established in 1985 as an Illinois corporation to assist its clients in energy conservation. In the mid-80's the US was just starting in the path of energy efficiency. General Energy's early work earned recognition as an innovator. As a Minority Business Enterprise, we found ourselves in a unique place among other engineering firms working to gain institutional and government engineering contracts.
